A major part of the charming renovation involved the complete makeover of the rear of the warehouse which saw the removal of an existing shed to clear out some space for a private courtyard. This space not only offers a small quiet retreat for the residents but also enlivens the ground floor study by bringing in a flood of natural light.

But it is the new glass and timber ‘box-shaped addition’ in the rear that truly transforms this old structure and gives it a sparkling new lease on life. This contemporary pavilion contains the new living area kitchen and dining room and opens up towards the gorgeous garden outside.

A snazzy dining room with acrylic chairs sits next to the kitchen and warm wooden surfaces add further elegance to each area.
An open plan living area along with the kitchen and the dining area open up towards the large patio outside. Large glass walls and folding glass doors keep the interior constantly connected with the outdoors while sheer curtains provide a clever balance between adequate privacy and a controlled stream of natural light.
The elegant forest house has a distinctly contemporary appeal and even though the exterior is draped in black the interior presents a contrasting white picture. A large living area with a smart mezzanine level is at the heart of the residence with minimal decor and warm wooden surfaces adding character and personality to the setting.
